How to build a Pergola on a Deck
In this episode, host Fuad Reveiz walks you through the process of building a pergola. He shows how to lay it out and determine the best angle to the sun. He builds the columns and anchors them in place. Then he assembles and installs the lintels. After that the rafters are cut and installed on top of the lintels. Then, to add ridgidity, he adds some purlins to the top of the rafters. He adds some finishing touches to the tops and bottoms of the columns and the pergola is complete
