How to build a Platform Bench
A platform bench combines convenient storage with a generous seating area. Because of its low profile and adaptability, a platform bench fits nicely into many locations: next to a built-in bookcase, in a window bay, or along a flat wall beneath a picture window. When used as a window seat, a platform bench is a perfect spot for relaxing on a sunny morning. Cushions and throw pillows soften the look and feel of the bench. And when aromatic cedar panels are added, the interior of the built-in becomes an ideal storage space for quilts and fine linens.
